For a party that claims to speak for Americans, they sure are afraid of Americans voting.
Ted Cruz:
My plea to this body is that we listen to the American people, because if we listen to our constituents, the answer is we need to defund this bill that isn't working.
Michele Bachmann:
Michele Bachmann to @wolfblitzer: "The American people fear Obamacare. They want us to defund it."

Listen to virtually every Republican refighting the battle they lost in 2009, and then again in the 2012 elections, and they keep talking about "the American people" this, and the "the American people" that.
It is touching and encouraging seeing Republicans so gung-ho to deliver for the American people. So let's take advantage of that and get Republicans to agree to stop their voter disenfranchisement efforts against young voters, urban voters, Democratic voters in Red states and brown voters.
How about Republicans stop trying to gut motor voter registration? Or same-day voter registration? Or early voting? And what about their hissy fit over the voter registration opportunities for Obamacare recipients? Heck, they should be all over vote-by-mail, guaranteeing even higher voter participation rates! Since they're so confident that American is with them, they shouldn't have a problem with any of this, right?
For a party that pretends to speak for all Americans, how about they let all Americans speak?
